Coppied from district37 forum please help. I have raced d38 and know the area well. I also know alot of people that live their (my wife grew up their). Everyone who lives their also opposes this.
Hello District 37,
My name is Jim Pelley; I race District 38 in the Super Senior class and live in Ocotillo (desert town) which is about 10 miles east of the District 38 Races in Imperial Valley. We are fighting a large Wind Energy Project which is being fast tracked and will change the small quite town of Ocotillo and our desert forever. If this wind project gets approved, it’s much easier for them to come back and put in more turbines once a wind project is already established which could make District 38 racing a thing of the past.
Ocotillo is rich with Native Indian Culture, please click onlinks below:

The link below is looking west toward the proposed project area which is BLM land and the proposed wind project consists of (150) 450 foot tall (over 40 stories tall) Industrial Wind Turbine Generators which will surround the town of Ocotillo.

We have a electronic petition that we are asking people tosign, it only take a couple minutes.
Uncheck the “Display my name publicly” if you wish to remain anonymous.
