My gosh, I thought I wasted a lot of time here.... Big Lou, I think you're pegging the meter. FarmerJohn, bbbom, Patman, GSR, Rich, et al, geeze.... I felt guilty a few weeks ago & toned it down. It just seems like you guys are ALWAYS here. Is it just my imagination? What are your real names (so I don't ever look twice at your resume)?

hmphf! I'll have you know I earn every penny Okie pays me. :p

I sit at this damn computer nearly 10 hours a day, if I don't look at something else besides accounting crap every so often I'll go insane!!! Work? That's what assistants are for. ;)

LMAO

I actually just leave it on most of the time. I am "in between bosses" at the moment. I just leave it minimized and hit the "Refresh" button about a million times a day. This is soooo addicting. I don't want to miss a word! Occaisionally I have to walk away to the lab and do some work, so I might kill the connection. But it's just...so...tempting. If this place sold chocolate, I'd NEVER log off!:debil:

Hey it takes a dedicated crew to run the dark empire. I mean with all the money scams, the posts to edit, choosing people to pick on and ban.... the list is extensive.

Actually I'm a partner in a Civil engineering firm, I do the network and PC crap and run the CAD department and try to actually do some design work in there. DRN is just so addicting I kep it up most of the day, responses don't take long so it just seems like I spend my days here. Just wait until I hit the lottery!

The trick is to have a seperate dedicated machine with DRN on it so you can just glance over now and then. Plus it helps that we are waiting for our funding request to be completed so it's been slow the last week or so. Unfortunately that won't last long

I told my bosses during my performance review that I didn't have enough work to keep me busy, they just laughed it off. Corporate America is one weird ass place

My average daily post was over 4 for along time and I hardly ever posted on the weekends. Lately I’ve been so busy at work that I just haven’t had time to post much. I see lots of threads that I want to get into but I know I won’t have to time to keep it going so I pass. I still read everything (OK, not some of the more stupid ranting threads) and that takes plenty of time as it is.

When I do post I like it to be somewhat intelligently done and using the 2 finger approach takes me a while.

I’m looking forward to becoming independently wealthy so I can satisfy my addiction to DRN.

State employee here!:)

I'm in the basement keeping the network up and running. If nobody calls for help. I just maintain. . . yeah, that's what I'll call it. . . maintaining the internet connection reliability statistics. A.K.A. surfing!;) .
If there's a problem, I'll find it. Even if it takes all day!:debil:

Zio;

According to your profile you have no occupation. Being in the insurance industry and dealing with businesses across the spectrum, I have found one thing interesting. Here in Nevada prostitutes don't have a name for their occupation either!:)

It's not often you meet one of your Johns outside of "work". Boy, you insurance guys are the freakiest of 'em all. I'll tell one of my girls to give you a freebie next time!:p

You guys are nasty! ;)

It's not MY fault I have a man's job so I get twice as much done in half the time. :p

Besides, they like to keep me around for my smartass entertainment value.

Actually, I am bored to death. If it wasn't for my 1.5 - 2 hour lunch workout, numerous trips to the lunchroom for water or tea, lining up work to be done at my house and surfing the net I wouldn't be able to stay here at work all day everyday.

The boss knows it, I know it but, it's the nature of our business - slack time happens for all of us here but when there is work to be done it is done RIGHT.

Don't worry zio, I've spent many years working 7/10s and even now, when it's bid time there are no time limits, except the bid deadline.

Used to get in trouble for getting my work done too quick at school too. Wish we had the net back then, I wouldn't of had to sit in the hall reading books all the time.

I think Dan is European (European, I'm a pean, we're all a...nevermind).

Brian, Pepsi? Hmm, I'd have to think about that. If I can't get Coke, I might just go with the other one.:scream:
