Zio, More of the same story here. I just turned in my '00 4x4 SLT. We didn't have as many issues as Thump, in fact, surprisingly, we had few issues. But, lots of what Thump said was true for us too. I routinely had to have window motors replaced. Gas mileage sux. 12 at best around town, 15.5 on the interstate. That's with the 5.9 litre, and I'm not sure what rear end gear. Other than that, we didn't have too many problems. We live in Alabama so we know what good AC is supposed to feel like, fortunately, we never had issues with the AC, but we bailed on the Vehicle last fall and only drove it 44K. Sounds like above 50K the thing really starts to fall apart. My dad just retired from Daimler Chrysler. He worked on the Jeep team. I would echo Thump's sentiments about the Grand Cherokee. More people are satisfied with them than aren't. Only downside for some is there's no 3rd seat option in the GC. Good luck car shopping.
