Dual Sport event in Michigan

This is my first post in the Dual Sport forum.  I wanted to make sure that anyone in the Michigan area was aware of a dual sport event next weekend (August 3).

The Lansing Motorcycle Club (home of the Jack Pine enduro) will be having a dual sport event on Sunday morning.  We have a 60-70 mile loop of two tracks, some single track and some road sections.  Primitive camping is available at the clubgrounds and breakfast will be provided in the morning of the event.

Last year it was great to see some enduro riders from the past return to clubgrounds (Mapquest -  706 Johnson Road, Lake City, MI).  We share a lot of stories before and after the ride.

How hard are the trails? ie) good for beginner? Intermediate?

Any trail that we use will be public ORV trail - 50 inches wide, but it may have some sand.  The trail sections will be short in distance and alternative route will be available.

Great. How do you register? Do we just show up? How many riders do you expect? Is this just Sunday?

Registration begins at 9:00am at the LMC clubgrounds.  The ride will be Sunday only and we expect 30-40 riders - the more the merrier.

We tried to plan this event so that the dual sport riders who are participating in the Six Days of Michigan can ride with us on Sunday.

Directions....Hwy 75 or 27 north to M55, go west 15 miles from Hwy 27 to        7 mile road and go north 10 miles to Johnson Rd, trun left and the clubgrounds will be on the left.  Primitive camping is available Saturday night - arrive early!
