Dumb needle question
At Steve's recommendation, I started running a CR 1468 needle. It is a bit lean on the top but as I'm not a good enough rider to be revving it out all the time, that's ok. It seems to run cleanest--no spooge at all--and smoothest with that needle on the 3rd clip, a 182 main and a 45 pilot. We tried the "I" needle that came with the bike--one step leaner than the "H" that came in it--but it burned a LOT of gas (ok, so some leaked out while I was on the ground, but not THAT much) and fouled a plug trailside. So we went back to the 1468. Now would the next leaner KTM jet, the "J," be better? Is there a "J?" Should I lean out the pilot? I think we tried that and it was stumbling a bit and too lean but I can't remember. Would a leaner main help?
