Enlarge ports to compensate for Cylinder base shave?

So the new 62mm piston I installed on my 2 stroke (previous stock piston was a 56mm) is 2mm short in deck height so I had to shave the cylinder base to bring the squish band back to acceptable limits, now that everything is done I noticed that the ports have also gone down in height, can I enlarge the exhaust and intake ports mainly from the top and fill the bottom of the ports with epoxy? or is there something else that you guys can suggest?

Port timing will be altered in this description, but that is not always a bad thing. I would ride it and see if I liked it, esp given that you made it into a big-bore.
If you don't want to ride it first, then just stack base gaskets to make up for the lost cylinder material...
