hi guys
just bought a ktm exc 400 2002 have i done the right thing just wondering if any one could give me a little info on the bike and things to look out for

Great bike. I have a 2002 400EXC that I bought in 2002 and it is pretty much bullet proof. I don't know what type of riding you do or you skill level, age, weight... but you really can't go wrong. I have actually done quite a few aftermarket upgrades to mine but they weren't all necessary. Let me know what type of riding you do and then we can determine if your set up correctly.

Great bike, not much different them mine.
I'd watch for loose bolts(I put locktite on a few) and keep an eye on the valves. Just had mine checked and they were pretty tight. Other than that just your regualr maintenance :cool:

I have a '02 400MXC. Great bike for sure.

Basic maintenance is about it.

I am considering a DS kit for it as I don't get it out as much now that I am more time riding my dual sport.
