I think i posted this in the wrong forum before so i will try it here now. Some one please help.
I have a 99 yz 125 and need to get new rims ASAP after a brutal wipeout, involving pavement, a 4th gear wheelie and a big oak tree. Anyways back to the point, I was looking at classifieds online and came across two ads. 1 ad had 2 rims for sale as a package: a 1.60x21 36Holes (which is correct for my bike), and a 2.15x19 36 holes. My bike calls for a 1.85x19 36 holes rear rim. Will this rim work? In a different ad there is a single rear excel rim which is a "Excell part no. cg409 1.85 x 19 36 hole uses os nipples fits YZ125 88-98 YZ400 98, WR250 89-97, TTR250 99-00, WR400 98, WR500 91-93" This is 1.85x19 36 Holes but does not list my 99yz125. What are os nipples and will this one work on my bike?
Thanx in advance

Wheels And Nipples

Rider the 2.15x19 rear is for a 250cc bike I do not think your tire off of a 125YZ will fit? Need to stay with 1.85x19 All late modle KX and YZ rims are
36 hole the problem is with nipple and spoke gauge. Look on MX South web site look at rims and nipple kits it will help you understand the different size
nipples. YZ rears take 8.5mm nipples and fronts are 8.0mm. Ran into this problem when we broke a front rim on a 99 KX125 and wanted to put a YZ front rim in it's place, had to change nipples to get it to work. GOOD LUCK.

The os you mentioned means oversized. This would be for aftermarket spoke sets such as Buchannan stainless steel spokes which use a larger nipple. The difference between stock and os is .5mm. I've used the os rims with stock nipples with no problem. If you want to know for sure, call FTM enterprises in Oceanside, Ca. as they are the importer for Excel Rims. When I went with excel rims and OS spokes ( 01CR 125) I had to drill out the hub to allow the OS spokes to fit. If I had known that to begin with I would have gone with another spoke set.
