The exhaust pipe on my 1998 KDX 220 is pretty beat up. (I mean the big lower pipe, not the muffler).
I have an opportunity to pick up a stock exhaust pipe from a 2001 KDX 200 cheap.
Are they interchangable?

It will fit but why not go ahead and spring for an fmf dessert/rev pipe. It will cost probably around 179.00 but your KDX is not a KDX without it. You want believe what this pipe with proper jetting will do for your bike. Your gonna kick yourself for not doing it sooner after you get it. :aj:

As for a stock pipe, I have one in perfect condition I would give away if someone wanted it. A lot of KDX owners have them lying around. I see them on **** all the time going for about ten bucks. Once you've tried an after market pipe you'll never go back.

Thanks for the suggestion about upgrading the pipe. I just bought this bike and its my first ever. It's got an FMF muffler already and the bike has more than enough power for me as a beginner. Since it's already several years old I just want to maintain it and not throw a lot of $ into it.

You may be suprised to hear this Mikecoh, but that bike will be good for decades! I doubt anyone on this forum would think of that bike as "several years old" as the in the way you may think of it. These bikes last forever.
