Kdx forum members, I always read your posts and am inpressed w/ all your knowledge and helpful advice. Tons of knowledgeble guys here !! Going to hop up the bike soon, all stock now. Could you list a few of your favorite performance modifications. I did buy the Kaw. service manual, very helpful.

Try http://justkdx.dirtrider.net lots of good stuf there.
I would do the jetting and pipe first. Then depending on your weight
fork springs.

First thing...put on a pipe.

Well..no..First thing, jet it right.

OK OK...maybe FIRST thing do the airbox mod.

......well, the best thing was the RB carb.....unless the Best thing was the change to the DeltaForce II reed setup.

Of course, the BEST thing was a change to Maxim oil.

..but then...the timing change was the best thing..and cheap (free).

Was the BEST thing maybe the steahly FWW? Could be.

Nah...the FIRST BEST thing was sending the whole suspension to jeremy to get it fixed!! AND the most expensive, btw.....

:)..There are TONS of great things that need doin'!

and CDave's site is THE place to start for sure!

2. rejet –cheap! $5-$15
3. Boyesen 607 reeds - $30
4. Strong handlebars - $70
5. Hand guards - $45
6. Better front tire - $50
7. Stiffer fork springs -$60 -$80
8. FRP Solid bar clamp - $30

Not Cheap
1. PC or FMF pipe $165-$180
2. RB Carb mod -$165
3. Revalve front and rear suspension - $500
4. FMF TC II Silencer - $130
5. WER steering stabilizer - $350

After the free or next to free mods like the air box lid and proper jetting I would add a pipe and balance the suspension by installing appropriate shock or fork springs first.

Awesome start. No more airbox lid, getting ready to look for my jetting materials. Can't thank you guys enough!!! And sorry for the other post similar to this one, and those of you with with the stupid remarks can kiss my ###.
