For the majority of its life, my bike spends on trails. From tight and funky to wide open and sweeping, you'll more commonly find me riding cross-country style of riding. Just within the past year or so I have been logging more seat-time on the track, but the ratio is still largely in favor of trail riding. That being said, if you will notice, there is not much on my bike that is stock. There is a reason for this. Remember what you said about bike parts being scattered about on the best of trails, well, now you understand why my bike has all these pretty aftermarket parts on it! The problem with it all is that I am fastidious in regards to maintenance, and the thought of allowing my bike to sit there until the next ride with the previous trails leftovers glued to it would keep me awake at night. I'm not so worried about it being clean, rather that a problem will be camouflaged by muck and that I won't know about it until I'm about 15 miles deep into the trail. I hate being THAT guy! My sickness might sound like a good problem to have to many, but honestly it's a bit more of a curse to me as it can make for long nights after an already long day of riding. It makes for an unhappy wife, and a happy brewery as there is always a good brewers pack of suds involved. Keep the smokers pictures coming. I'm starting to dig this post!
