[QUOTE="Jeff Gilbert, post: 799920, member: 20280"] Before I turn "Vet Pro" I had better learn to ride a full size bike dontcha think? As long as I'm a legend in my own mind that's good enough for me. :rotfl: I wasn't asked to sign any autographs and probably won't have to worry about that. I've never been one that wanted anyone's signature unless it was on a check so I always felt a little silly when asked for my autograph in the band. I've signed just about everything imaginable though :yikes: One of the kids hanging around was so excited that he had trouble speaking. He just kept tugging on my jersey and wanting to shake my hand. I waited until they were all gone before I ducked into the RV but I'd never run out on them, it just seemed too important. I never intend to be a bad role model. Story: A few years ago my band opened for a pretty hot band on Curb Records. After our show the guitar player for the other band walked up to me and said "do you remember me?" He did look a little familiar but I couldn't place him. He said the last time I saw him was more than 10 years ago when he used to stand in front of me as a kid and watch me play guitar at this SPJST hall with my old band. He said I had autographed a picture that he still kept and I was his influence to make him want to play guitar. That was something I'll never forget. The kid turned out to be a smoken guitar player and seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, whether or not I was a possitive influence is yet to be determined but at least the kid was in a position most 20 something year olds would love to be in.
