Try & get an rm if you can
Dunno why but I love the rms funny because I have never liked them in the past. Hell there all good no matter what colour you chose heres some info on buying a bike from one of my posts
when buying a bike its best to take note of the visual condition it is in. This will give a clue as to how its been maintained & cared for. visually look for } ware on the chain & sprockets, wheel barings, suspension barings in the linkage & swing arm, check the bars move freely lock to lock (check all these for play on a stand) sit on the bike does it squeak? are the suspension components operating smoothly? do they leak? check for things like cracked frames & signs of repair work. look to see if any thing looks bent like, bars & footpegs also. Check the wheels for buckles, & loose or missing spokes. Check the brakes for signs of ware, are the rotors bent? are the radiators bent? are the frame numbers bent ? Check the coolant level to see if it looks ok. Look at the airfiter does it have one in is it torn and neglected ? Its worth it if you can to check the condition of the spark plug to see how the engine is running. A nice brown tan plug is best, as long as its not looking like its really, white you should be ok . Start up the engine listen for nasty nocking noises or rattles. Take the bike on a ride does it shift smoothly? Check all the gears are there. How do the controls feel do they operate smoothly & efficiantly in motion? Is the bike lazy and unwilling when riding or is it lively & free revving? Does the power increase with the engine revs in sync. Is the bike jetted correctly does it smoke alot & smell dirty, does it ooze oil from the silencer? Ask the owner what He used the bike for & where he got it from. Does he have a shop receipt? Ask the reason for the sale of the bike. How has the owner serviced the bike what oil does He use & what ratio does he mix it ? Has the bike ever had a gearbox rebuild ? or any other work/maintence & who carried it out ? take all the time in the world to check the bike look out for pusshy sales people. Does the sales person look genuine? Make sure you get a bill of sale from the seller. Buying a used bike is always a hit & miss affair. Its always a gamble, & its up to the buyer to minimise that gamble, or pay the price
good luck
