The 89-92 KDX damper rod forks are pretty much worthless compared to anything modern. Even H series forks are better because of the tuning potential from the cartridge valving that they have. If your interested in switching to the KX forks just play the waiting game on e-b-a-y. My swap for my 89 cost me just over $100 total in parts. I ended up with a set of 96 kx125 forks and a custom axle that allowed me to reuse my stock wheel. The more you push the bike the more having a decent front end helps you. [/QUOTE]
