i was wondering if i should by a fmf fatty or save my money.
i've heard great things about big bore kits--- how much are they? will i need to run higher than 93 octane gas? what size do you recomend? what company? thanks
freakin waste of cash on the CR 125 I rode my friend's '06 with the stock setup n then a fatty the very next ride and I told him flat out you wasted your cash. It makes a great thrasher since the stock unit is so exspensive but it made no difference. The V3 vforce did make an improvement in the snap/throttle responce. I know he just got a factory fatty to put on his bike, He's a vet rider with cash to burn.
I went the opposite way with my '06 YZ 125 and the first mod I did to it had eric gorr 144 porting/head mod's. It's definetly better then any pipe/reed combo the $$$ to performance ratio is much higher. Wiseco now has a 139 piston kit avil for the '04 n up CR 125's my advice is maybe wait a while longer cause Athena has a bolt on 144 kit for the '05-06 YZ 125's now! Maybe they will offer something for the CR's more places will offer the 139 CR without stroking it, which is most commonly done, cause thier using the old wiseco 133 pistons.
