the shorty is a shorter pipe hence the name shorty.. it is a louder pipe and is made to increase bottom to mid range power

the shorty is obviously shorter and like said above increases bottom to mid power gains; best for short, tight tracks

the power core 2 gives you a gain all throughout the rpm range

my brothers KX85 has a Powercore II silencer and its made for a gain in the mid-range of your powerband, but you wont tell a big difference between a Shorty and Powercore II except for the noise, the Shorty is louder. the Shorty is a newer model of the Powercore II and does give you slightly more power.
