Someone was looking for Fork Guard info. I made mine out
of Schedule 40 pvc pipe. The next thinner wall pipe would be
better but the schedule 40 isn't really that much heavier.
I cut the slit in pipe where it would just snap over the fork,
you hardly need fasteners although I did zip tie them top
and bottom. Takes a little measuring to cut out the axle
end areas but mine works really well.

I cut an inch and one half strip out of the pipe with a
table saw. (must be very careful - dangerous cut) I
cut the strip at bottom of forks for axle boss with a
scroll saw. Just took a little measuring and marking
with a felt tip pen. By the way I used 2" I.D. pipe
for the 2003 KDX 220 forks. The pipe cuts easily so
you might find a better way to cut it. The 1 and 1/2 inch
strip is quite tight, might want to make it a 1 and 3/4
inch cut. Will take picture and post. They look and
work great.

I did the same as dirtmeister, added a drill press with rotary files to clean up the edges.
