Fork help

The threads where the fork cap screws into the fork tube on my bike are messed up. is there any way to fix this without buying a new tube?

Take it to a shop that might be able to chase the threads with a tap. Doing it yourself is one option, but I think the cost of a quality tap of that size might be somewhat cost-prohibitive for doing it yourself. Call around and see if any of your shops can try to chase those threads for you.
