fork oil height changes after i ride

I adjusted the oil height on my forks and after I ride I take them apart again and the height is always different. I pump the rod way too many times to get all air out, and Im very accurate measuring the height with my motion pro tool. What ya think?
oh yeah my forks dont leak and the oil height is always higher

Air getting mixed in with the oil (cavitation)? I dunno for sure just a thought.

It depends on how you set the height. I do all of mine by extending the forks to remove oil between the fork tubes. There is about a 30mm difference in oil height if you leave the oil in the overlap or purge it out. My guess is that is the difference.
