i seen somewhere that there was 2 different fork oil levels for my bike 98 cr250 i wanna know if you put more oil in does that make it stiffer or what? also what about different weights what difference does that make my manual says 5w and thats what i bought for it but why different weights for different bikes? how come they dont all just use 5w?

More oil volume will increase bottoming resistance . Thicker oil will be slower comp and slower rebound .
