Fork Oil Type

I just used the last of my Motul sythetic 5w yesterday to complete the job of changing the oil and seals.

My question is this: I have heard that ATF can be used, is type F ok?

Should I use the same volume of oil? This will be on a 98 cr250.

I am going to help a buddy do his and was going to try that on his bike. The price for my help will be him being a guinny pig, lol.

I ride a 03 CRF 450.

I tried it in my 02 yz250 with no ill effects. I used the standard oil height for my set-up. I did notice that I could run the compression adjusters further out however. Seems to work well.

was that type F or DEX3?

Want to replace to fork oil in my kayaba forks.The manual says to replace with suzuki fork oil L01.What weight is L01? thanks
