Fournales suspension on dual purpose bikes ?

I am looking at replacing the shock on my klr650. Fournales make this air type of shock which they claim were used on the Paris Dakar by privateers and unlike ohlins and wp did not not need to be rebuilt during the entire race.

Do any DRNers have experience with fournales ?
