As a new 220 owner I was wondering if anyone has input on the the prescribed carb modification from 33mm to 36mm?
Fredette does it for $60 plus jets and RB is $160.
Is the RB mod really worth the extra $100???
Anyone have experience with both to compare the 2???
:)

ek415,

If you haven't gotten another response, the Fredette carb mod is a bore from 33 to 36mm only with a jet needle change. The RB Designs mod includes the following:

Boring to 36mm
Installing plate
Modify circuitry
Modify slide
Install new needle
Change jets (if necessary)

Hope this helps! I am still wanting to get the RB mod myself. I am slow... Maybe this year?

If you do a search on RB Designs, I think you'll find that everyone raves about how good the performance can be; the baisic jetting starting points have also been refined and that makes fine tuning MUCH easier. Just my .02.
