front sprocket oil seal

no matter how many front sprocket oil seals i install,the thing still weeps oil, the seal is seated sqaure & flat, HELP !

Is there a crack in the case around the seal or nicks in the seal surface from digging it out with a screwdriver?

case seems fine mate, that's why it's a bit of a head scratcher.

Does it have a sprocket collar my kx 250 was leaking because the sprocket collar had a grove worn in it from the seal causing it to leak.

Could be the surface of the counter shaft or the counter shaft bearing is a little worn causing the seal to leak when the sprocket is pushed and pulled from the chain , like when accelerating or decelerating.

I don't know about kawi's but yamaha's have an oring around the counter shaft that the collar that the seal rides on compresses. This prevents oil from leaking around the inside of the collar. (The inside of the collar is chamfered.)

Just had my KX250 back, and found out that the metal sleeve around the output shaft sits on a thin o ring. If yours is similar ( probably ) take off the sprocket, pull out the sleeve, and check the o ring, probably nicked or flat.

You can use high strength thread lock fluid to fill gapped races with good luck, but I don't know how much I would like using thread lock in that instance. I'd sure be careful using it, especially if there is in fact an o-ring as sherrif describes.
