crankcase oil cunsumption?

my son rides an 03 kx 65. i recently replced the seal behind the front sprocket. now every time i go to it i need to ad oil and i cant see a leak anywhere.this may sound crazy but can it consume it?

It sure can. A leaking right hand crank seal is about the only way though.

is that something i need to split the case to fix?

You replaced the counter shaft seal and its leaking? What about the oring and collar behind the sprocket? Placing the collar backwards? Vintage Bob

i replaced the oring,collar,seal,and even the c clip. it was dripping oil on the floor. the engine is clean and i cant see any leaks

Oring first? Does the collar go in only 1 way? You did a replace the collar? Is there play between the sprocket and clip? Vintage Bob
