Sprayed it, heated it, begged it - how the hell do you get this thing off? Reluctant to use impact driver, but is this the best way?

I usually use an air impact wrench. But with a bolt that is possibly seized, you always run the risk of snapping the bolt head off no matter what method you use. I would heat it and give a try with the impact wrench.

BTW, What are you holding the sprocket with ?

Try squirting some Liquid Wrench on it and let it sit overnight.

Opps...noticed you have a flag from across the pond. Look for "penetrating oil".
