Please re-read my last post. I said C-12. I don't care about making more power. I know that race gas will not give me more horsepower the way you are thinking about i.e more octane = more horsepower. I want consistancy in fuel performance from one tank to the next. I want no alcohol in my gas. Less than a teaspoon of water in gas from a pump laced with alcohol and all the alcohol is pulled out of the fuel and sits at the bottom of the tank, with the water, just waiting to enter your engine and seize it up. A teaspoon of water can occur from condensation due to poor fuel storage. Think about it: You go to the gas station, pick up the hose and select premium. However, the last person to use the hose chose regular. You are pumping at least a half gallon of regular into your 5 gallon can with the same nozzle you are paying premium for. Now what do you have? Maybe the next time you use a different brand. Who knows? It makes a difference. I know that when I put VP C-12 into my bike it's formula will be exactly the same as the last can of C-12. I will know exactly how it will perform because I have ensured consistancy. I also know that if I store the fuel correctly, it won't get stale like pump gas. I've read over and over on this forum of people experiancing a loss of performance without explaination and attempting to re-jet their bike to make it work right. I suspect that they are experiancing fuel problems. Since using C-12 and setting my jetting up right, I no longer spooge out the tailpipe. After an hour ride, I took a paper towel and wiped the inside of my exhaust outlet and got back only soot, nothing wet. My C-12 is vaporizing much more consistantly than pump gas and is therefore burning more completely than pump gas. And in case you where unaware, most spooge is unburned fuel, not 2-stroke oil.
