Hi, just had a question about my gas tank on my 76 Mr250. Its a steel tank, and when I got it, it was insanley rusty on the inside, so I used the electric method to get the rust out (look it up, pretty cool), but I left it in there for too long, and it ate a small hole in the tank. Its only about the size of a penny, maybe even less, and these tanks are far and few between. Is there anyway I could patch it with JB weld and a screen? Im repainting the tank anyways to Ill strip the paint beforehand.
Thanks

On the bottom?? A patch will work, but a weld may be better if material around the hole is still intact. Welder will need to purge the tank, but a professional would know that. Also, you'd be surprised at the number of these tanks that come up on ebay. There is a whole lot of these bikes still around and part and tanks come up pretty regularly.
