Yes, on my '99 300E I have it on there right now. 13/52. Really helps with the use of 3rd gear in the woods. You'll use 5th alot more than before in the open.

I used to just run a 13/52 on my 2000 300 mxc when I rode up in the mountains of New Mexico. I leave it on all the time now, it seems to pull better out of the corners when I hit them in a higher gear. Just my opinion.

I just went to sprocketspecialists.com and tried to crossreference the 5399 part number (current KTM) with all the Jap brands. Sorry, no such luck. The KTMs only fit the KTMs.

The 300 will make this more livable than a 200 would. It is tall and will require lots of clutching in the really tight stuff in 1st. Just try to learn to ride it in second and lay off the clutch as much as you can. 1st will be a momentum killer in the rolling turning trails.

13T on the front is good on my 300EXC. But what do you ride? If its mainly goat tracks and tight trails 13T is magic. If its high speed fire trails 14T is nicer for the little bit of extra top end. 13T makes it feel a little more punchier though. Hey... I just read your going to do an Enduro.....13T for sure.

Kevan down here several thousands of miles from you they sell, on top of all the regular aftermarket sprockets brands, one called JT sprockets. They are no relation to JT Racing USA, it is a Korean company I believe and I have used several of there sprockets over time. For the money I think they are good value. I know they fit KTM but I dont know if they sell them there in the US. I cant see why not. You've got every other bloody thing!!!

Virtually all of my riding is in the woods. I have an 01 300exc and I also run a 13/52. I really cuts down on alot of shifting. Third is low enough idle through the tight stuff and tall enough to wonder if you can get stopped before you get to the next turn.

Hey TEXKDX, the 105 rim trail is a hoot, but I really need the 13 tooth on what we call the bobsled (don't know the number). We ride up there alot during the summer with the down time of tscec. Let me know if/when you guys are planning a trip and we will try to meet you.
