General price for a 98 CR250

There is a guy here selling a 98 CR250 for $3700 ono canadian. I figure thats a bit high?

Is there any thing particular to look out for on the 98's when I take a look at it?

Not sure about the exchange rate, but an average '98 CR250 would probably sell for less than $1,500 US. In excellent condition with plenty of spares and aftermarket parts it would go for more, maybe $2,000 US.

The stock suspension is not so great and the magazines said the frame was too stiff (typical magazine BS - my '99 has the same frame and it works like dream and I am old and slow). The bike can be made to work very well, especially if the suspension was done right.

I agree with Dave on both points. If 3700 canadian is more than 2500 u.s. then he wants too much. I revalved my brother's 99 with some Gold Valves and it completely changed the bike. With some fine tuning it became quite the offroad weapon. The engines have great power too. Good luck.

I just bought a 2002 cr 250 for $2500.Keep looking deals are out there

Hi there You all im looking at A 1998 CR250 on marketplace for 3200 Can .funds right now . Bikes sell for crazy prices here up north in Thunder Bay Canada
