Sorry to hear. Hope you heal up soon and I totally understand the finacial thing. I went through the same thing a year ago. I hurt my back at work (still getting therapy) and had to learn to walk all over again. I blew out L4-L5 and L5-S1. It made me realize from the pain I was in that if I hurt myself this bad riding I might be out of a job. We sold my sons bike b/c he is growing like a weed and had mine for sale. I had a guy ready to buy and he backed out at the last minute and I am glad. I have since learned that I can ride and take it easy and still enjoy myself. My friends think if you can't ride like a 20 yr. old its not worth it, but I disagree. I have recently realized that riding with my son is what gives me the most joy and not flying over a tabletop pinned. So for now we share my bike and he rides like a 14 yr. old and I ride like a 40 yr. old. Even with the damage in my back I can still have a good time and I don't have to give up the sport that I love so much. I am not trying to sway your decision, every man HAS to do what right for HIS family. Hope you get better!!
