We finished the re-route today; closed down the old section of trail. Sad to close any trail, but... Even got a few stop signs put back up - many seem to disappear during firearm deer season. We rode the north loop afterwards. Water is very low for spring. You have to try to get your feet wet, even on the old RR grade (north west loop, just before Sterling Truck Trail). The 4 tired machines have really cut the trail in, especially in the wetter sections. Watch for deep ruts in those areas. It helps to think of those 2 tire tracks as 2 very narrow single tracks, with no trees between ;-) Absolutely no snow/ice out there. The frost is about 3 foot below the surface (stop signs have to be 4 foot in the ground). Lot's of traffic today, parking lot was full, plenty of over-flow parking up/down Center Firelane.
