Bike Week sure does have a weird schedule! Jason Raines had his broken scapula operated on the 2nd week of February. His doc released him to race this week and he says he's feeling pretty good. Looks like there will be a full field of pros ready to do battle tomorrow!

Ryan Hughes started off fast and led for awhile. The race was really muddy and about mid-way through he decided it was "too hard". He left his bike and half his gear out on the course and walked back to the pits mumbling that those guys are crazy and I'm never doing this again!

Gee, I wonder if they'll print that part of the story in Cycle News?!

Directly from GNCCRACING.com - Hughes was set for his first GNCC podium finish until his bike quit just a few miles from the finish.

Somehow I doubt it was too 'crazy' for him.

Hughes is staring a whole new career in the face if he chooses to. Lots of other retired motocross riders have been successful with the enduro and GNCC series, if he decides he likes it enough, he'll be riding professionally for many more years to come... :worship:

I personaly talked to Ryan Hughs at an establishment Wednsday night in Daytona.
I asked him how he liked the GNCC's he said "It sucks, motocross is alot better".
I didn't ask him any more questions.
