Grass Track GP/MX '03

That huge field used for part of the HS course would make a great grass track MX ... :aj: I'm thinking we make it an official event in '03. Thoughts?

I think it's also time to introduce the pit-bike/mini bike race we've always talked about. We could use a portion of the grass track for that. How about up to 125 cc 4-strokes and 65cc 2-strokes?

Seems like we could get a lot of use out of the grass track.  Of course we can have a grass track MX race.  Remember that Rich and a bunch of us talked about having a grass track time trial, where one bike goes at a time, and an elapsed time is measured from start to finish.  Lowest ET wins.  Maybe some kind of handicapping or something like that for.  Just thinking out loud.

Donlop race. Heres a thought, take the biggest guy in the race. Say for instance he wheighs in at 320. That would be the first guy off the line, then a 1 second delay for each 3 pounds of mass, so for example at 260 you would have a 60 lbs advantage divided by 3 would give you a 20 second penalty. I would be flagging , because the race would be over before I could start.

You can count me in for the pit-bike race, I am just wondering if the engine size is fair. 50cc of motor + 190lb fat man= slow race
65cc of motor + 190lb fat man= faster then my slow
