Great KTM Dealer

Has anyone else stumbled across this site? What a great find. The website has great prices. I also called there today to check on some OEM parts that my local dealer didn't have, and they had them - in stock. Here's the really good part, they have a chick for a parts gal, and she is sweeeeeeett! Finally, a dealership with a friendly person on the other end of the phone who actually wants to help you.

This gal was so nice and helpful I think I am in love, too bad she's married to the owner (but he's out of the country for another 5 weeks :D can you say roadtrip to North Dakota :p )

There was a few questions, she couldn't answer, but she turned me on to a really informative KTM dealer in Laramie WY and hooked me up with Gerald Langston and a Doma Pipe. Check this one out, you won't be disappointed.

Sorry, I see lots of posts either slamming or praising a dealer, most guys post links to their fav dealer, Smackover comes to mind. I guess a first time post is pretty suspicious. :ugg:

I tend to let the folks that have been around a contributed to DRN talk up their great dealer a little but when it's the first post right after registering it has the scent of canned meat. No harm in asking BB, keeps me honest :D

Now that I live in Texas (if this where Amarilo is at !), we need to get together and try out the trials/trails bikes, it is rather confusing owning a Pampera, it is a trail bike with a trials engine, and has to be bought via the trials importer http://www.gasgas.com and not http://www.ggna.com :)

you becha :debil:

Rich, you are on the short side ain't ya, you would probably love this bike, make a great super motard  Have you had chance to ride one yet, the trials engine makes this bike super smooth, torquey and powerful.

Alan - I haven't ridden one but I've had the bike on my list ever since I first saw one on the GG site. Your glowing reports about the bike only make me want one even more :) I'll bet it would be a riot on the street.

When my bike collection breaks into double digits does that constitute obsessive behaviour?

Obsessive bike behaviour and living in Chicago makes for some interesting space/storage issues :scream:

Now if you lived in an apartment that would be a real issue, I can bet you end up paying just about as much for storage as you pay for rent. So I guess you have a few bikes in the bedroom, living room and bathroom. I would hate to know where you do all the mixing of hazardous substances.

Yeah BB we need to hook up. Now Armadillo that's like southern Colorado right? just outside Pueblo? Nah, it's only about 5 or 6 hours.

If you are in Houston it is about 10 hours, yeah, I am closer to Colorado and New Mexico  Amadillo is in the middle of 'the middle of' nowhere

The trick is renting an apartment from a sympathetic old gear head, and only running the lathe in the spare bedroom when the upstairs neighbors are gone. :)

I'd love to know, how and where you start up the bikes

Rich, I think you need to move on down south, somewhere in Texas, get a big spread, build you a warehouse and get on out of the city. One would think with your skills you would do well in Dallas or Houston ... oh yeah, you get to ride all year round !

On the other hand, it is a 1000 mile journey to the DRN spodefest :ugg:

BB I'm 40 miles west of Austin which ends up being 4 to 4.5 from Loop 610 in Houston.
