Is the oversize bar dimension (1-1/8) an aftermarket upgrade or is this spec now supplied as OE?

1 1/8 handlebars are aftermarket replacement handlebars. Standard bars are 7/8 diameter.

Unless you bought a KTM. Oversize is standard for the orange bikes.

I did hear that Honda is going to go to Renthals for their stock bars next year. Wonder if they will be oversize?

I read somewhere(maybe racerx)that they were going to put Renthals on the 04s

Renthals :( on anything means I'd still need to upgrade to Tags or Pro Tapers. I went through four sets of 7/8" Renthals due to bending before I finally invested in the PTs. Extremely durable in my all to often crash episodes. I then tried Tags of a different bend with equal success. I highly recommend both bars. 1 1/8" only for me. :thumb:
