Still celebrating tonight with dinner downtown followed by a Blackhawks pre-season game. Might take out our duck hunting boat tomorrow to check out the blinds before the season. And racing a hare scramble on Sunday!
Next weekend is our first hockey game for a women's team I've played on for 5 years now, then the final FVOR hare scramble on Sunday.
After being a MX girl for 10+ years, I would have never guessed I would like this HS thing so much. But once I got a smaller CRF150RB for it last summer (compared to riding a 250F), it's been an absolute blast!! So far I've done 17 races this year, and won more than half of them, which is cool considering I've tried racing HS on and off since 2004, and never won until this year. I have 2nd place locked up in the district, still a small chance at the championship, but I missed a couple of early season bonus races which put me in a hole. Also in the running for the FVOR, WFO, and/or LTM series championships, and I've been having tons of fun racing in the woods (as long as it's not muddy, LOL!), so it's just been a great year!! And next up is hockey and hunting season!
