Welcome to DRN and back to dirt bikes :) A lot of us here took a break for college, marriages and kids ect...

If you have a question about what bike to get post it in the What Bike Do I Get forum, they like to keep the sub-forum headings correct with regard to what it contains around here. Makes it easier to find what you want. Click below.

newbie

Hello, I'm a newbie here, and I have a Yamaha.

I grew up riding dirt bikes but slowely progressed into street bikes and then into 4Wheeling. For the last several years I have been preety heavy into the 4Wheeling world. I have taken a '99 Toyota 4Runner Limited and transformed it into a very capable trail rig that can take you to the trail and back in comfort.
http://www.hunt4steve.com You can see my site fore more stuff I have done to this rig.

Oh yeah, if you want to see some crazy rock crawling videos of my rig, check out this link to my video page:

I have a buddy at church who has a KTM 380 and has been egging me on to go out riding with him since last year. Well, I have been searching the papers, Craigslist and online boards for a good deal, and finally found one (Wes is the man!). So, now I'm back in the saddle with a '01 WRF250F. I certainly miss riding the dirt trails and I'm happy to be back on one. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. I'm going to Moab (a favorite playground of mine for wheeling) in May for some riding with my buddy from church. This will be an experience for me, as it has been.....well, over 20 years since I have really been riding a dirt bike. Too long.

Lets seee.....The wife and I will be celebrating our 15 year anniversarry in May. We have 3 dogs (Bordor Collie, Aussi and a mix of the two) who are pretty much like our kids, I'm a Computer Jockey (Sys Admin) in Los Alamos, I like all kinds of music, especially music with a cool electric guitar, kinda like Stevie Ray Vaughan's Lenny; awesome song.

Oh yeah, I served in the Army for 3.5 years. During that time I was in Germany, and Desert Storm. I had a pretty interesting time over there, just glad to be back in one piece.

Welcome to DRN. I saw where you got VintageDirt's WR.

Great bike. We have two members right there in your area, Lori and Dave. Dave works at the labs as well.

Check out the Team DRN Mile High Chapter forum for opportunities to hook up with some fellow DRNers. Scattered from Southern New Mexico to Northern Colorado, these fellows cover the extremes of riding in the US, from desert to 12,000 foot mountain passes.
