Just picked up a 2000 KDX200. Disclaimer: the manual is on order.

Now, I found there was no throttle or clutch play from the prior owners setup. I added play for the throttle but then inspecting the carb area noticed there is no idle tapered slide adjustment screw.

So do you set idle speed at the twist throttle adjuster or am I totally out there? There is a idle air screw adjust near the air box side.

Help me brothers

Thanks great site to have available

JasonWho found it's a combo choke/idle adjust. Who da thunk they'd come up with that. :clue:

Wow, thanks guys I stared at the exploded view and that baby is different. Mine has Keihin stamped vertically on the throttle slide casting.

Is the swapped carb a good thing? Jetting may be a challange, have to test it more.

Wibby - thanks for the photo she's a different animal for sure.

if the keihin is writen virtically on the carb body i would think u have a pj or pe carb. i may be wrong but do u ajust the idle by turning the choke knob.

Looks like it's a PJ series by what I've discovered. May be a low-end deal. The prior owner was going for torque with a Gnarly pipe etc.
