ah yes, as many of you know i've comitted my life to helping young people, there was that varsity cheerleader clean up day at my ranch and..well you get the idea. to be bigger, yes, the easy answer(you'll love this) is genetics, don't thank me thank your recruiter, er, i mean God. the other easy answer,(and i'm thinking you'll love this even more) is, you're to young to bulk up.(send all replies to..) ok,that being said, hear me now and remember this later, stay away from all testosterone boosting suplements,and or roids(such a crude word) there is empirical evidence that,not only while on will this suplimentation shut down your testicular axis, it will adversly affect it for the rest of your life. so there, drugs are bad,ok,don't do drugs. now to help, there are many ways to "bulk up" but a tried and true method is this. eat to get big,lift to get big,sleep to get big. eat extra protien, don't go overboard, the liver gets a lil' stressed breaking down alot of protien, but i'd say two protien drinks a day will be ok,add some branched chain amino acids,and slightly increase your caloric intake,nachos? why? try candy bars,er i mean "protien bars" same same on some. lift heavey, a good starting point is a weight you can control for no less than 3 reps no more than 6 (rule of thumb) and do good forced reps, you will need a good spotter for this,but nobody rides alone ,right? don't lift heavey alone, do forced reps. you can finish your heavey lifting with light high rep stuf to "blast " the pump too. oh yeh,don't forget the cardio,this is not the only contraversial thing if said so far, but this will get the most "that's wrong" replies, it goes back to the empirical evidence thing. and rest..rest lad,rets...lift heavey on one part of the body only once a week, not every other day, not twice weekly, once, your body can and will in most instances take 5 days to recover fully. here's another lil' tid bit for ya, your body produces growth hormone while you are in REM sleep (that's why you see body builder use some rec drugs befor bed, i'm not going to mention them because"drugs are bad,ok", but if you've wonderd about it,that's why) and ofcourse drink at least 1 gal of water a day. these things will work, there is no substitute for hard work. now, last but not least, there are many highschool coaches that will dissagree with alot of what i said, but hey, ignorance is bliss. they train young men for sport and fun, i trained young men because our lives depended on it.there! btw, mens health is for late middle aged men who marry young and play too much golf, get some harder core material, or a more sane mag is muscle media, i would HIGHLY recomend buying Arnolds' encyclopedia of bodybuilding, buy it, read it, do it. some people don't fill out untill early 20s late teens, i didn't start filling out until 19 or so. don't get discouraged.and this garbage about pro atheletes weighing 250 or so, look at a 20 yr old, ranger,marine, seal, or special forces troop, that's what an explosive strength,arobically conditioned "pro" looks like. good luck. btw,kwetchyer bitchin' you guys are 6ft or above, i'm a pewee 5'8" maybe 5'9", nuthin' i can do about that. whew.
