I Recently bought my Cr250 ( 1999, 2 stroke) and it was great until the engine ceased, Well, I think that is what has happened,

The Cylinder and piston is fine, but it seems to be the bottom end that is ceased. The kick wont turn over and the crank is hard to turn by hand.

I have it stripped down to the Bottom end and i noticed some metal filings :yikes:.

Any idea what this could be? i have to wait to next weekend to strip the rest cause i work too much,
Ooh, and there was plenty oil in the bike too.

Any help is much appreciated ppl, thanks :)

Happened on my cr125 just got a new hot rod crank.

On mine the bike just stopped and the kickstarter was stuck so i tought it was siezed so i brought it home and took the exhaust off and it had metal shaving in it,so i took the cyclinder off and it was fine ,not a scratch.so then i knew it was the bottem end bearing, the mechanic said that the trust washer had shattered and destroyed the bearing.
