I am trying to remove the rear shock from my KDX250D1. How do I get it out? I have stripped the air box down, but can't seem to get it out of the frame. Is this the correct thing to do?

Please, somebody HELP!!!!

Remove the side panels. You have an Upper & lower bolt. Remove those. You bay have to put a 2 x 4 between the upper part of the shock & frame and lift up to help give clearance for the top to come out. Should not be a big project.

You have removed the lower bolt, right? Once the upper and lower bolts are free, the shock will drop about 4 inches. From there you can twist the shock and remove it from the side, or maybe even slip it through the swingarm.
