It saddens me how people can become so disillusioned that they become capable of doing such horrific acts.

Riz, I don't take what Elk said as offensive because I took it as an attempt on his part to make light of what could have been a very serious situation. I think gibbs_6 used the more sensitive approach.

I remember driving home the day the Davidian compound burned, from the time I turned on the loop I could see the smoke beginning to rise. The 2 miles I drove to get to my my exit I could already see the flames and remember the sick feeling I got knowing what had happened. When I got home I grabbed the binoculars and jumped on top the picnic table to take a look. I knew that a lot of people had sacrificed their life for something they believed in. I have no love loss for Kiresh, he was a jerk, still people believed in him enough to trust him with their life.

I wish it had not turned out the way it did just the same as I wished Bishop didn't fly a plane into the building in Florida. The fact is there is nothing anyone can do to change what's already happened.

The similarities are people with convictions strong enough to die for.The difference is Bishop only took himself out. My take on it all if anyone cares, they were disillusioned and they all paid the price.

It's extremely rude of you to make those assumptions and or comments, King just lighten up man, don't turn this into a racial thing when it's not. It's common sense that people result to humor when this kind of stuff hapens and like Jeff said he was making light of it... Or maybe not
You don't have to act like mr.pc when the truth based around what elk said, believe it or not, just don't get off pointing fingers at people and accuse them of being a racist (Last time I checked it doesn't make a diff if you are a paperboy who's a racist so don't bring the cop issues in)

Sorry I am just a little heated now and I don't want this to turn into another thread that gets locked down because of REAL racial comments

, Now back to the story, is it just me or do you people find it odd that this kid was a good student, wanted to serve his country etc... I think there is more to this story, but he just might have been a wolf in sheeps clothing

All on the parents?I wouldn't blame it all on them.Some teens just aren't right in the head.Say he had problems with depression and he just wouldn't talk to his parents about it,either to scared or just didn't think he needed help,and denied it to them when they asked about it.Then it all just added up and he decided to kill himself and wanted to go out in a bigway.:silly: :mad:

That's the prob with the net eh Riz?:) A simple smiley face can mean the diff between getting ticked or laughing. Arrgg it's a curse, I just tend to look at both sides and try decifer what's was meant ;)

Note: We are for the most part adults here. We don't need a lesson. We realize that all religions, races and countries have bad guys. We also realize that 1 bad apple shouldn't spoil the bunch.

Everyone else try to keep in mind we are International here. There really isn't any reason for threads like this on a dirtbike site.

I say it again: Posts containing religious or political (non DB related) or racist statements will be removed. Racist statements will get the member the boot. Obviously, due to the recent attacks, we are trying to let folks vent a little. Maybe it's time to stop.

I log on this morning and come to find out that I disturbed some folks. First of all, my appologizes to Okie, it was not meant to disrupt this site. It was borderline and I'm sorry for that. It was said to make light of a situation. Trust me, when you do what I do for a living and you see all that goes on that the normal citizen do not, then you would understand. My humor is what has kept me sane for the past 13+years in law enforcment. It is sad to see what Kingriz had written about my post. People should not be so defensive when something is said of that nature. Obviously I was kidding, Ihope you really don't think that a child dying for a cause humors me. Whether or not his cause was correct, he still believed in it.
One last thing, you don't see me getting all upset when I see the cop jokes about the donuts and that we never do anything or that all Italians are mafia related. Give me a break, relax, watch a sunrise at least once a week and ride whenever possible. Trust me, just because a person of a certain race or religion does something wrong doesn't mean that the whole entire race or religion is bad. If I thought that then I wouldn't make a good officer. So please, Kingriz, I'm sorry if I offended you but you also don't need to take everything so personally because of what race or religion you are. That just shows that you are insecure of who you are. Be happy with yourself and it will show to all.
