Hey Micahdawg or Sick 96 250! What jetting do u guys run? I have a 97 rm250

I just fully rebuilt my bike, icluding top end, seals, bearings, etc. Now the bike falls on its face when i hold it at wot. Its ok on the bottom. Im running a 168 main and a 55 pilot. I think thats a bit rich. I was guessing run maybe a 162 and a 45 pilot? Please list youre jetting specs. Id really appreciate it guys, My email: [email protected]

my specs on my bike are 55 pilot in warm weather and 58 in cold weather along with a 168 main year round, 3rd clip on needle and mix at 40:1 with mobile MX2T. If i'm correct tho, the 97 rm250 should have a pilot around 45 and main around 165. Stick in that general area and everything should work out for ya, try some jets that are around 45-50 so you can test them and see which have the best response without making your bike run to lean

Hi.I have the factory manual for this bike. Stock settings are 48 pilot, 1.5 air screw, 3rd clip, 175 main. Mine has a 42 pilot and the rest stock but the weather where you are is probably warmer than ours. I had the exact same problem when I rebuilt mine about the topend falling flat on it's face. All it was was that the spark plug was to cold. Changed it to a hotter range and it ran good as gold

if its running fat on top and thats it, drop the main jet, but your jetting sounds really rich compared to factory, so try a few sizes down on the pilot from where your at now and on the main

Its all good guys! I dropped from a 168 to a 160, and rings seated = perfect on top,

I went way down on the main, moved my needle clip, and it seemed as if my rings finally seated. We kept revving her after we put in the 160. After about 2 mins, a funny smell came from the exhaust and it was fine, no more bogging, awesome response and top end was awesome too. Thanks sick 96 250 and ROG. She purrs like a kitten!!
