I have been riding my '03 KX250 and am starting to stand up more and more but I am 6' tall and when I stand up in anything other than a super low crouch/squat I am at full arms extent and to a point where acceleration pulls me back so much I wheelie even when I don't want to. Is this a technique problem or should I be getting taller bars/lower pegs? If so are there any good ones? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

The biggest thing you can do is get taller bars! You can also get lower footpegs or possibly modify the ones you have. I have adjustable triple clamps on my bike and they helped me move my bar mount position forward so that I can get on the front of the seat where I need to be without being too cramped. I am also 6' tall.

6' tall, ain't that tall buddies. I'm 6-3" (most definately not the tallest guy around either who rides) and ride a YZ125. I put on a set of Carmichael bars which are very tall bars and they helped a lot. I haven't done it, but I've heard taller seat foam is nice. An adjustable top triple clamp will help you move the bars a little farther forward.

Give those a shot.

I'm 6'5 and have felt the same thing that you do.. I've gone to taller bars, a tall seat foam, lower footpegs, and an aftermarket triple clamp to make the bike roomier. I think it is technique more than anything though, the only place I stand tall anymore is while jumping.. Otherwise I crouch in the attack position. Standing up tall raises your center of gravity and makes your arms work way too hard to keep you centered on the bike.
