Hey guys i am stuck between a Honda 250x and a Husqvarna TXC250 or TE250. I am planning on buying new. Also, do you think these bikes are a little too much for me? If so what bike would you recommend. Thank you in advance.
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)-6'1" 150 lbs
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?-Fairly
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????- Trails in the woods. North GA type stuff.
4) Do you have any riding experience? 10 years
5) Do you think you will race ?- no
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?- yes
7) Do YOU have a preference to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?- 4 stroke
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?- Everything
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?- Up to 7,000
10) Do you live in California? no
11) Your age?- 16
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion

Sounds like you've got a few good choices. Go with the one that has the best dealer support.

I'm not familiar with the Huskys. I've heard they're good bikes but no real solid info on reliability. The CRF-X is a good bike with lots of aftermarket support and many available parts dealers. Do a little homework on getting parts and service on the Husky. If your local dealer is good they should have a good stock of parts and all the correct tools and information to service the bike.

The 250X is a proven bike with alot of aftermarket support. I bought and sold a 2004 TE250 last year. I live in the Dallas area and would pass about 5 Honda dealers on the way to a Husqvarna dealer 1.5 hours from my house. That should tell you something.
