Hello everyone, I'm new to the whole dirt bike thing and I bought a used Honda CR125 2001. I knew the top end needed to be rebuilt, thats no biggie i have already torn it down and order the parts I needed.

Now for the question: What kind of oil do i put back in it? How much oil? What kind of brake fuild do i put in it? (was none in it when i got the bike). Is the tranny a different part from the engine that will need it's own tranny fuild? I have only removed the cylinder.

Thanks for any help.

cr 125

i would recommend using klotz flex drive 30, any dot 4 brake fluid should do. also i always use klotz super techniplate mixing 32:1 for gas.

good luck

ok well, yea trans fluid is different, there is no engine oil in a 2 stroke, not like a car, use what above has recommended for trans oil, and just dot4 brake fluid is good, before you put it back together put a thin layer of 2 stroke oil on the piston and cylinder
