I see alot of talk about Honda fork springs. I have a 1991 KDX200, i ride enduros and weight 205 lbs. race-Tech website tells me that I need to run a 0.446kg/mm spring. I see comments of Honda springs being .4. Will they fit in my 1991, and should I cange any of the shims inside that valving of the fork. I don't want to spend the money to go to gold valves yet. Maybe next season.

Honda part no = 51401-kcy-761

I noticed that no one is helping you out here. I guess we are getting tired of this subject. All of the information you are looking for has been covered, extensively I might add, during the past two months. Do a search on “springs” with the member as “canyncarvr” and you will find all of the information you seek.

The honda spring idea is for the 'H' model USU (up side up? ;) ) 42mm kyb fork. ..maybe I even got the number right on that...

Anwway, I haven't looked at the '91 spec to know what sort of fork you have.

In any case, race tech commonly reqs spring rates on the high side. IMO, if 205 is your but-nekkid weight, I wouldn't think .40s would cut it.

That depends on a lot of 'stuff' though.
