hot starter?

have a 2006 crf250r...it has a small lever for the hot starter?? what the heck is that?

Not "hot starter" but "Hot Start"..

So when the bike is hot, you pull the lever as you are kicking. It lets a bit more air thru the carb so as to lean the mix a little to make it easier to start the bike.

If you don't need it to start the bike hot the fuel screw is off.

You can also use the hot start if you flood the bike...Ive done it many times.
