How about a reed spacer?

I have read about reed spacers here and tried a search but found the info sketchy at best. Can anyone tell me about them from experience? Are they worth it? Where's the best place to get one?
I already have the fmf gnarly woods pipe and power reeds.
(this is for a 2006 kdx200).

It worked great on my KDX220!!! I had to order one for a KX125. For some reason they didn't have one listed for a KDX, but they are the same.

Was it the older one or the newer 125? The catalog shows two different ones.
